What we collect

When you use the ClearAgent API, we process the following data as part of compliance screening:

• Operator data: Legal entity name, email address, and wallet address (if provided) submitted during registration.
• Transaction data: Counterparty name, wallet address, transaction amount, chain, and rail submitted via /v1/screen.
• Audit records: Verdict, risk score, rule triggered, and timestamp generated by each screen call.
• Billing data: Stripe customer ID and subscription status. Payment card details are processed and stored exclusively by Stripe — ClearAgent never sees or stores card numbers.

How we use it

All data is used solely for compliance screening, audit trail generation, and billing. We do not sell data, use it for marketing, or share it with third parties except as required by law or to operate the service (Stripe for billing, Cloudflare for infrastructure).

Data retention

Audit records (screening results) are retained for 90 days in Cloudflare KV, after which they are automatically purged. Operator credentials are retained for the duration of the credential validity period (1 year for operators, 91 days for agents). Billing records are retained as long as the subscription is active.

Institutions integrating ClearAgent are responsible for exporting and retaining screening records to meet their own BSA 5-year recordkeeping obligations.

Infrastructure

ClearAgent runs on Cloudflare Workers. Data is processed at the Cloudflare edge data center closest to the caller. Cloudflare's infrastructure is SOC 2 Type II certified. ClearAgent does not operate its own servers.
